My 15 Minutes of Fame (almost!)

The wine bar has been open for 3 months now.  I keep thinking I am at a point where I can slow down long enough to post on my blog again, but something always comes up that keeps me hopping.  But I am not so stressed anymore so I do see the light at the end of the tunnel and unless it is a train, I will be back soon!  :-)

For now, please enjoy this video from my appearance on a local TV station for their Restaurant Show.

It is both fun and stressful at the same time. Really steep learning curve about the food & beverage industry for someone like me who has never worked in the industry. My knowledge about finance and accounting keeps me on edge and awake at night. But being at the wine bar and interacting with our guests is lots of fun!

What a great interview! Your bar looks beautiful. If you ever expand, consider Reno. We need a place like this.

I read your blog about the trials and tribulations of opening your wine bar. As a commercial real estate broker with a Certified Specialist of Wine and Wine & Spirits Education Trust degree, I know how difficult it can be to build out a space, develop a wine list and keep the books. Many of my best clients have been in your shoes. Congratulations on your success and I’ll tell my friends to drop in for a snack and pick up wines on their way to Hilton Head from Atlanta! And if you ever decide to expand your concept we would love to see you in Georgia!

Thank you so much, Nance! If you ever get a chance to drop in, please introduce yourself. I will be in the Atlanta area next month helping my son and daughter-in-law move into their new home. Cheers!!!
